New Series Edition! CLAREC Back & Forth
New Series Edition! CLAREC Back & Forth
📅 11th March, 1:00 – 2:00 PM UK Time
📍Online event (Zoom link in our bio)
This event will explore the PhD journey on Latin American researchers, examining how the experience of studying in Cambridge could reshape subjectivities and academic identities. Through a dialogue, we will talk about the transformations that occur as we navigate diverse intellectual landscapes.
How does one’s Latin American background influence our research? How do we re-engage with these contexts after years abroad? and How do we transform and strategically occupy the academic and cultural spaces that we return to, using the tools, knowledge, and experiences gained through our time at hegemonic institutions like Cambridge?
We will also showcase the exciting new directions of ongoing projects and current work being undertaken by Rocío Fernández Ugalde & Alexandre Da Trindade, CLAREC’s PhD and postdoctoral researchers.
What are the core themes of our current research, and how do they connect back to Latin American issues and intellectual traditions?
